2011 Brisbane Truck Show. May 5th-8th Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia Hosted by the Commercial Vehicle Industry Association the Brisbane Truck Show showcases all types of new trucks, trailers and accessories currently available. Noteworthy trucks at this year's event included the latest RM Williams Lognhorn Express Western Star with its outback themed airbrushed art. In just over ten years of operation the RM Williams mobile store has clocked up over 300,000klms and had around two million people through its doors. American Truckworks displayed their purple marbled Peterbilt featuring custom graphics and evil clown airbrush art. Kenworth trucks had the timeless classic shape of the new T909 along with the new K200 cabover. Sure to be a popular choice with Australian operators as overall length regulations limit the options to a short hood or cabover in most long haul applications. The K200 has more driver space than the previous K100 with a new flat floor design. It's also available in the big 2.9m cab, features a folding shifter for sleeper access and under bunk slide out fridge. |
